Touch-Sensitive Keyboards

The following keyboards are expressly designed to fulfill a unique and important function--that of enabling efficient real-time communications between a musicians and the Electric Music Box. These are not organ keyboards, for the simple reason that the Electric Music Box is not an organ. Its operation characteristics and potential vocabulary are quite different, and an optimal input facility bears little resemblance to a traditional organ keyboard.

Both keyboards produce a multiplicity of output voltages, permitting simultaneous control of several acoustic dimensions. Pressure outputs enhance the possibilities for expressive articulation; preset output provide immediate access to previously defined states.

Touch-sensitive, capacitance-activated keys provide rapid response and exceptional reliability; positional feedback is achieved via frets and raised keys. Electric Music Box keyboards exhibit musically logical operation. The sustaining of one key does not inhibit the action of another; each key's response is independent of whatever other keys are simultaneously touched.
